A holistic health coach, BIRTHFIT leader, and mom of two passionate about helping women and mothers take charge of their health.
Growing up, I was often sick. It seemed like no matter what illness was going around, I managed to catch it. I’d usually take the recommended prescription, miss a few days of school, and then get right back to regularly scheduled programming. I remember consistently having my head on the lunch table feeling exhausted and worn out.
As a competitive gymnast, this was frustrating, and in my belief, was a major contributor to the long list of injuries I had throughout my career. It wasn’t until I graduated college and lived on my own that I started to notice how my diet and lifestyle choices impacted my mood, sleep, energy, and how I felt in my body. Over time, I made small changes like learning to read ingredient labels, switching out household and personal care products for more nontoxic options, and experimenting with different forms of movement.
From there, my passion for health and experience of the motherhood transition went hand in hand. My pregnancy and birth experience along with my postpartum healing journey further solidified my drive to take care of myself in order to better take care of my family. I also completed my coaching education and became board-certified through the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaches. After years of learning and unlearning, my goal now is to support others in their journey to feeling their healthiest, most authentic selves.
My family and I currently live in the mountains of North Carolina. Day to day life looks like the best mix of chasing little ones while simultaneously chasing big dreams. I am a homebody that loves slow mornings, a good book, and coffee with my cream.
